I’ve used HLS at night when it’s been cold. The temperature didn’t affect it one bit. It looked fantastic. Of course other factors count but don’t be too cautious about low temperature. I think Sikkens say this to cover their ass a bit. Good luck and may the golden brush be with you!

Sikkens is an amazing product system to protect and beautify wood for a very long time....but, it is very expensive compared to other products, the application processes and procedures MUST be followed exactly, with NO exceptions and because of this, the application process is extremely lengthy. If your the person who reads and follows instructions and have the time to do the job, you will be very pleased with the outcome. If your hiring someone else to finish your wood, you need to confirm that they completely understand the Sikkens process and you should expect to pay at least double to have the job done.

Hmm, calling the company "HRV" when the product has no heat exchanger is one of the more cynical marketing ploys I've seen. i remember this guy... makes your money disappear too... If I had the choice again, I wouldn't have used him. I used him to install a bath. Turned up 1 hour and a bit later than arranged, charged me for the time from when he said he'd arrive then left with out actually cementing the PVC pipe from the bath to the waste pipe... Said he was running out if time and told me to silicone the join myself. Did this and it leaked!!... Good one mate! Great advice for a 2nd floor apartment... I had to fix all this myself and I paid a premium for it as he overcharged me in the first place... And he blatently knew it... Happened years ago and I'm still pissed about it...

I had a shed put up & needed a concretor to concrete inside the shed. Even though another concretor with positive online reviews was the same price we went with Elvin's Concreting Services because of the professionalism they showed at the start. How mistaken I was....... Elvin didn't show up on the day to do the job but sent two 'kids'. I came home to an incomplete job, i.e. the spaces behind the posts hadn't been filled so I could see daylight at each corner & most other posts. Also, a hardened slurry of excess concrete was left laying on a pile of dirt & rock on the nature strip. After many phone calls & even the disgruntled wife getting in on it (she wanted the crap moved so I could mow the nature strip), they kept promising to come out & pick up the mess & also told me me to use expander foam for the holes. I made up a small batch of concrete & did it myself instead & got sick of waiting (5 weeks now) so am gradually getting rid of the concrete on the nature strip (yet to finish breaking it up into small enough pieces to move it). I have already been asked for the number of a concretor for a larger job than mine but I haven't & won't ever recommend Elvin.
